Oklahoma Classics set for Remington Park on Oct. 20

Nearly $1 million in purses, Craft Classics Beer Festival celebrate all things Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 12, 2023)  – Oklahoma Classics returns to Remington Park with the richest night of racing for Oklahoma-bred Thoroughbreds and the Craft Classics Beer Festival on Friday, Oct. 20.

The 31st running of the Oklahoma Classics offers nearly $1 million in purses over eight stakes races. It’s also become a night on which the track celebrates Oklahoma-owned businesses and nonprofits, a tradition that continues this year with the second Oklahoma Craft Classics Beer Festival.

“Oklahoma Classics is a night when Remington Park celebrates all things Oklahoma, especially our quality Oklahoma-bred Thoroughbred athletes, jockeys and horsemen,” said Matt Vance, Remington Park’s executive vice president of racing. “This night also gives us an opportunity to spotlight Oklahoma businesses and support nonprofits in our state through the Craft Classics Beer Festival.”

The Craft Classics Beer Festival takes place from 6-10 p.m. and features products from Oklahoma-based breweries. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Remington Park Charities.

Brewers set to participate in the festival include Bricktown Brewery of Oklahoma City, Lively Beerworks of Oklahoma City, Broke Brewing of Oklahoma City, Stonecloud Brewing of Oklahoma City, Iron Monk Brewing of Stillwater, Prairie Artisan Ales of Oklahoma City, Cross Timbers Brewing of Oklahoma City and MadHopper Brewing of Oklahoma City.

VIP tickets for the Craft Classics Beer Festival are $45 and include early access to the festival, a tasting mug, a $5 racing voucher and $10 in casino free play. The first 100 VIP ticketholders receive a Craft Classics T-shirt. General Admission tickets are $35, with access from 7-10 p.m., a tasting cup, a $5 racing voucher and $10 in casino free play.
